Vincent K.S. Hsiao was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1972. He received his Bachelor and
Master degrees in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Tatung
University in 1995 and 1997 respectively. In August 2005 he got his Ph.D. degree in the
Electrical Engineering Department, SUNY at Buffalo. During his study at UB, he was
supported by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) through a Defense
University Research Initiative in Nanotechnology (DURINT) grant related to the research
areas of polymeric nanophotonics and nanoelectronics at the Institute for Lasers,
Photonics, and Biophotonics.
Currently he is working as a postdoctoral scholar on the research project related to
fabricating the photonic materials based on artificial molecular machines.
