UAA Tuition Waiver Grants for Sociology Students
Spring 2012
The Department of Sociology invites you to apply for UAA Tuition Waiver Grant for Spring,
2012. If you are a Sociology major, minor, or interdisciplinary Master's student enrolled in
Sociology for three credits or more leading to a degree, diploma or certificate from the University
of Alaska, you may submit an application to UAA the Sociology Department, SSB 372, 3211
Providence Drive, Anchorage, AK 99508, by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5. You must
enroll for at least 3 credits in the Spring term and undergraduates must have a GPA of 2.8 or
better.
Use this sheet as your cover page. Fill in your name, contact information, scholastic standing
and signature agreeing to the terms of the award. Attach an unofficial copy of your transcripts
and an essay of 1000 words or less that describes your academic achievements, community
and University service activities, financial need, and any other concerns that you feel might
justify a tuition waiver.
