Soccer Scholarships
Application Guidelines
The Susquehanna Soccer Club, in order to encourage the growth of organized soccer and
recognize and reward high school seniors who demonstrate the highest combination of
scholarship and athletic achievement in the sport of soccer, has established the SSC
Soccer Scholarships. Two scholarships will be awarded annually, one each to a deserving
female and a deserving male soccer player. Each scholarship will be in the amount of
$500.
To be eligible to receive the SSC Soccer Scholarship, an applicant must:



Have played in the SSC at any level for no less than three seasons
Be a high school senior at the time of application and a rostered player on a high
school soccer team.
Not have previously received an SSC scholarship
Applicants shall be judged on the following criteria:




Demonstrated intent to continue playing or coaching organized soccer following
high school graduation
Dedication to the SSC or Susquehanna Township High School soccer program
Academic record
Extracurricular activities and community service
TO APPLY: Interested applicants should submit a resume or short biography; a
brief essay (no more than 250 words) describing how they meet the award criteria
and why they should be chosen for the award; a copy of the applicant’s high school
scholastic record or equivalent; and Student Activity Report or equivalent.
Application packets should clearly indicate the applicant’s name, home address and
telephone number.
All timely applications shall be reviewed by the SSC Scholarship Committee.
Applicant interview will be held only if determined necessary by the committee.
Scholarship application must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2015. The mailing
