She may have been the “Maria Chabert,” who stood as a sponsor at the baptism of Jan Seys on 26 May 1799 in the Dutch Reformed Church in Christiansted.10 She was married on 31 May 1809 in the Christiansted Anglican Church to Henry Adams, a Captain in the British 96th Regiment. She died in 1841. 11. Charles Texier Chabert was born on 2 March 1788. He married on 2 March 1808, Marie Elisabeth Scheer, who was born in Copenhagen on 11 October 1797. He had a relationship with Marie's sister, Helena Maria Scheer, who was born in 1788 and died in about 1829. On 21 September 1816, he was divorced from Maria Elisabeth Scheer, and she died in Copenhagen on 9 January 1818. He then had a relationship with another Scheer sister, Caroline Scheer, who was born in about 1799. On 17 August 1823, in Eckernpförde, Denmark, he married Anna Louise Henriette Hansen, who was born on 11 February 1806. In about 1826, he and his daughter Ida Eliza Jeannette, returned to St. Croix. During the trip, he had a sexual relationship with his daughter. He had a relationship with Frances [Fanny] Armstrong, who was born on St. Croix in about 1803 and who was classified as a mustice and who was freed by N. C. A. Chabert in 1821. He then had a relationship with Elizabeth [N. 15] Hawley, born on St. Croix, in about 1802, and she was baptized in the Anglican Church16 and she later converted to the Roman Catholic Church. She was a free colored woman. In 1850, they were living at 3b Watergut, Christiansted.17 Sometime between 1850 and 1857, they were married in the Roman Catholic Church. In October 1860, he and Elizabeth were living at 32b Company Street, Christiansted, and he was employed as a Clerk.18 Living with them were there grandchildren, C. M. Dam and G. A. Elisabeth Louisa Chabert was born on St. Croix on 18 April 1800 and was baptized in the St. Croix Dutch Reformed Church on 25 October 1800.20 She was married on 7 June 1819 by the Anglican Priest on St. Croix at estate Montpellier to William Pym Robert Burt,21 who was born in England in about 1798 and was baptized Anglican.22 In 1819, he was resident at estate St. John's, and she was resident on estate Montpellier.23 She died in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A. on 16 December 1833.24 He was living in Christiansted in 1857.25 22.
