Thank you for your interest in the role of Environment Management Programme Officer with
NEP Energy Services.
If successful you will be joining us at an exciting time. NEPes has recently been awarded
the Queens Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development and is working closely with
many local organisations to support change throughout the whole business ecosystem
across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, driving down carbon emissions and supporting
demand driven innovation and growth in our local low carbon sector.
Please note:

While we encourage the use of teleconferencing, public and person powered
transport, there may be some occasional local travel required to less
accessible locations. We have access to a pool of low emission vehicle. This
role requires a full driving licence valid in the UK

i.
Degree or equivalent in a science subject or environmental
management.
ii. Training in Environmental Management Systems.
i. Minimum 1 years experience working or volunteering in a
post relevant to environmental management.
ii. Experience of working independently to tight deadlines and
targets with minimum supervision.
iii. Experience of coordinating a network and running events
i.
Highly proficient in MS Office, especially in the use of Excel
for data analysis, however also Word, Access and Outlook.
ii. Ability to retrieve and analyse data and present that data
clearly and professionally in a range of formats (technical
reports, briefing notes and presentations).
Knowledge
i. Understanding of current approaches, technologies and
techniques across, waste, water, buildings and behaviour
change for accounting for and reducing building CO2
emissions.
ii. Clear understanding of climate change, sustainability and
energy agendas, national policy and current schemes and
incentives.
Performance i. Excellent communication skills.
Management ii. Driven to independently meet personal targets, while
