JobSearch North Canterbury – linking local people with local
jobs
Enterprise North Canterbury (ENC) is pleased to present the new JobSearch facility available on
the re-vamped www.northcanterbury.co.nz. The JobSearch facility of the website is special
because it was created following consultation with North Canterbury businesses who during the
Labour Market Research in 2008, said that they wanted a local, internet based tool to link local
employers and job seekers.
“We listened to what the businesses wanted and needed and we have provided them with a
FREE tool to meet those needs.”
Cat Hannah, Project Adviser with ENC says that “since the new JobSearch facility was launched
at the end of August, there have been more than 30 North Canterbury vacancies listed and the
JobSearch area of the website has been viewed more than 390 times.
Visitors to the website are coming primarily from New Zealand (95%) but visitors from around the
world including are also visiting from; UK, USA and Australia.
