Theme 2: Teacher Learning/Professional Development
Strategy:
As educators, we realize that in order to effectively teach and challenge our students; we need to continue learning
and challenge ourselves. In order to continue to improve instructional practices, strategies, approaches and
techniques; it is not only necessary and required, but imperative that all staff actively participate in the professional
development process.

7. Through a continued partnership with Salem State
College, teachers will have the opportunity and be
required to participate in professional development
opportunities based on their professional and our
school needs. The format of these sessions could
vary and may include workshops and/or guest
speakers on educational topics
8. To have a school based Teacher Teaching Teacher
{TTT} model. Workshops presented will be based on
teacher need and school need derived with staff
input.

Palmer’s model of Response To Intervention {RTI} so
to strengthen our core. GMS is currently in
communication with Chris Palmer regarding this
