INTERACTIVELY]
[DEFINE PARABLE: a parable is

[DEFINE HELL: the concept of
“hell” is based on Iranian/Persian
thought to which was added
“flames, punishment, torment”
that people saw daily in the
continual burning of their
garbage dump outside of
Jerusalem they called “gehenna.”
Today “hell” is used descriptively
to communicate a person’s
separation, awayness from
God; one who is without God.]
SAY: And so, this parable,
…this story that Jesus
once told of the eternal
and everliving truth of
God, is to remind us of
staying in contact with
God through that
which we call prayer.
