Documentation on recycled materials.
The Contractor shall implement practices and procedures
to meet the Project’s sustainable requirements. The
Contractor shall ensure that the requirements related
to these goals, as defined in Specification Section
S01352, Sustainability Requirements, and as specified
in this Section, are implemented to the fullest extent.
Substitutions or other changes to the work shall not be
proposed by the Contractor or their sub-contractors if
such changes compromise the stated Sustainable Design
Performance Criteria.

Section are applicable to the Work. Unless more
restrictive criteria or differing requirements are
explicitly stated in the Specifications, or mandated
by
governing

nylon, UV resistant fabric. All seams shall be locked
stitched reinforced for maximum durability. Stars shall
be precision embroidered or sewn appliqued.
FLAGPOLE LIGHT

Flagpole mounted down light shall meet requirements of
International Dark-Sky Association’s Dark-Sky Certified
down light.

Edit to suit Project requirements.
Use paragraph A if ground-mounted flagpole is used. Confirm
that the drawings indicate foundation for the flagpole.
Use paragraph B if wall mounted outrigger type flagpole is
used. Confirm that the drawings indicate structural support
for the flagpole.
2.
Omit for projects where NYC Green Schools Rating System
compliance is not required (Typical of CIP projects, UPK
Center conversions and fit-outs).
Verify for referenced
project.
3.
Pole top luminaire is not required if ground or wall mounted
spot light is provided. Pole top luminaire must be provided
for projects that must comply with NYC Green Schools Rating
System.
Coordinate with Electrical designer to ensure
wiring and electrical requirements are indicated on the
Contract Documents.
