circa 1953 Mary-Jane Granger, daughter of Stephen Victor and Mary-Margaret (McSorley) Granger, was born on 16 September 1929 at Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo New York. She immigrated to Canada with her parents in September 1937. She married Clifford Malcolm Eckhardt on 12 September 1953 in St. Catharines Ontario, Canada. Mary-Jane had three children, all born at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada. Her daughter Lee Ann Eckhardt was born on 15 April 1955, daughter Nancy Lynn Eckhardt on 12 November 1956, and her son Jeffrey Stephen Eckhardt on 8 August 1960. Her religious affiliation was Roman Catholic. Mary-Jane worked as a bank teller, in a jewelry store, as a superintendent and salesperson for a housing developer and as a medical secretary. She died of pneumonia - a complication of Alzheimer's Disease - on 9 January 1998 at Shaver Hospital, St.Catharines, Ontario at the age of 68. She was buried in the Granger plot 3 days later at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St.Catharines.
