Kidder Memorial Home FUNERAL HELD: Laura Patricia Morin DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, May 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Thomas D. Nadeau was the celebrant and homilist. Assisting as Deacon was Laura's nephew, The Reverend Mr. Bernard MacDonald from Saint Matthew's Roman Catholic Church in Windham, NH. Edward Daniel and Joseph Gamache served as Ministers of the Altar. Music was provided by soloist, Jeanne Begnoche accompanied by organist, Michael Olmstead. As a recessional, Laura's 10 year old grandson and pianist, Larry Morin played Beethoven's "Fur Elise". The White Funeral Pall was draped over Laura's casket by granddaughters, Emily Morin and Laura Daniel. Daughter-in-law, Ofelia Morin placed the Crucifix. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by son, David Morin. Readings from the Old and New Testament were proclaimed by sons, Richard and Claude Morin. Granddaughter, Brittany Spaulding and great grandchildren, Madeline, Julia, Rita and Jay Patrick Spaulding presented The Offertory Gifts. Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from, Barrette's Ford Sales and Service, Champlain Housing Trust, Swanton Historical Society, Swanton Rexall, The Total Home Center, Northwestern Medical Center, Timmy's Kids, Bev's Shear Expectations, Swanton Village Green Apartments, M&T Sand and Gravel, Grand Avenue Enterprises, Neal Speer Construction, Ashley Furniture Homestore, Bellrose Plumbing and Heating, Swanton Village Fire Department and Auxiliary, and the parish communities of Nativity/St Louis and St. Pius X. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Morin family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery with Father Nadeau assisted by Deacon MacDonald reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Michael Lovejoy, Keith Lovejoy, Michael Morin, Jay Spaulding, Matthew Green and Marc Dupuis. Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends in the Nativity Parish Center hosted by, Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of St. Anne.
