Kidder Memorial Home Obituary: Deborah Helen Carpenter Dateline: Swanton, Vermont Deborah Helen Carpenter, age 74 years, died early Sunday morning, August 2, 2015, in the St. Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She has been a seven year resident of Swanton coming from Johnson City, TN. Born in Meredith, NH on, May 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Richard B. and Helen S. (Stranahan) Wein. She attended Champlain College and in 1982, was married to Daniel Frederick Carpenter who predeceased her on, July 22, 2007. Mrs. Carpenter had been employed for several years as a bookkeeper for Farrell Distributors and while living in Tennessee was a 10 year volunteer for the HIV Network. She enjoyed crafting and participated in many area craft shows. She leaves her son, Dana Benoit and partner Steve Johnson of Los Angeles, CA; two daughters, Theresa Barnett and husband Gary of Temecula, CA and Katherine Benoit and partner Jeff Longway of Swanton; two brothers, David R. Wein and wife Martha of Pembroke, NH and Dana A. Wein of Littleton, NH; four grandchildren, Brent Benoit and his wife Barbara, Joshua Longway, Kori and Kyle Barnett. Great grandchildren Ryder Longway, Kaitlynn and Kalob Murphy as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves very special step-children and stepgrandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 1 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., in Swanton. The Reverend Mr. Duane Langlois, Permanent Deacon assigned to Holy Angels Parish, St. Albans will officiate. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Carpenter family lot in Saint Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lamkin St., Highgate Center.
