Factory Premixed Colors vs. Custom Colors
Whenever possible we recommend using factory premixed colors because they are mixed in exact proportions using granular pigments which generally provide
better color retention and reduce fading over the life of the paint job. Unfortunately, there are only a select number colors available in factory Pre-mixed colors.
There are hundreds or thousands of choices in custom colors from liquid (added at the paint store) pigments. We can show you a fan deck of colors or
you can stop by a local Paint Retailer and pick up some color charts.
Variations in Color - Custom Colors
Custom Colors often look different from the sample cards supplied by the manufacturer. If you are very particular about getting the right color, you should request
test patches be done to make sure the color is what you want. Color changes after the paint has been purchased can be very costly in materials and labor.
One Coat vs. Two or more Coats
Depending on color combinations, products selected, substrate condition and other factors, several coats of paint may need to be applied. You can get a good idea of
whether one coat will cover to your satisfaction by applying a sample of the color selected to various areas of the home. This sample area may help you save the cost
of two coats. This of course only applies if the cost consideration outweighs your preference for color(s) selected. In the event you change the color after job has
commenced or select a color that does not cover in the number of coats contracted for, you may be charged an additional amount for materials and labor.

_____ I would like Royal Touch to purchase the smallest quantity of paint in a particular color and to paint a test patch of approximately 2
Square feet to let me view the paint before proceeding to purchase all of the material for the job. I understand there will be an additional charge
for labor and materials if the paint color is changed after the job starts. One test patch can be performed for the cost of the paint $15.00/Qt.
$25.00/gallon. (Additional test patches will be billed at $35.00 for quarts and $45.00 for gallons if the material is not used on the job. The reason
for the additional charge is for the cost of making several trips to the paint store to select colors. I have read and understand this page and
understand that changes to color selections can affect the final cost of the paint job.
