group of 11 titles which was
developed in response to discussions with a
wide range of decision-makers in pharma
and biotech companies. The frequently
stated need was for systematic and
authoritative analysis of all available
information on patents, drug discovery,
drugs in R&D and those on the market.
Included in these titles is Expert Opinion on
Investigational
Drugs
evaluating
developments in pharmaceutical research,
from animal studies through to the launch of
a new medicine.

Pricing Offer
Access to Informa Healthcare’s complete journal collection includes seamless access to the
historical archive.
Institutions with no current live subscriptions with Informa Healthcare will be required to take out
journal subscriptions worth at least €4,000 for 2010. This will then count as a participation fee for
them to be able to purchase access to the non-subscribed content for an additional cost of
€6,000.
If they already have core subscriptions with a total cost exceeding $4,000, they will not have to
pay any participation fee i.e. participation fee is nil.
If they have core subscriptions coming under a total cost of €4,000, they pay the difference to
make up the participation fee. For e.g. if their annual total subscriptions total €2,000, they will
have to take out another €2,000 worth of core subscriptions.
Participating libraries will be required to maintain their individual expenditure level on core
subscriptions in order to qualify for an annual price cap of 5%.
All institutions wishing to access the non-subscribed content will be required to pay an additional
€6,000 in fees in order to access the non-subscribed content. Participating libraries will have
perpetual rights to their subscribed content for the years which they subscribed to.
To retain perpetual rights to 2010 all non subscribed content for all journals outside core
subscriptions, the universities will have to pay an additional €2,000 Euros on top of the €6,000
Euros non-subscribed access content fee.
Alternatively, if the Universities do not wish to retain the perpetual rights for all 2010 nonsubscribed content but selected journals only (outside their “core subs”). They can retain the
perpetual rights to any journals 2010 content at zero cost, but only if they subscribe to those
journals in 2011.
The cost for upgrading from single site access i.e. from university Locations to multiple sites
including hospitals or other institutions that use the university Facilities, is 10% of the total cost
(participation fee + access fee to non-subscribed content).
Individual Journal Archives: Volume 1, Issue 1 - December 31st 2009 are priced at $2,000 per
journal.
However, all institutions wishing to retain and own perpetual rights to all Archive content to all of
Informa Healthcare’s journals from volume 1 issue 1 till December 31st 2009 will be offered the
significantly discounted fee of €38,000 each.
This offer is valid until December 15th 2009.

Perpetual Use
Section 3.5 of our License Agreement outlines the perpetual use rights that are included in a
purchase. Once purchased, an institution has the perpetual right to use this subscribed content.
Though this agreement includes access via Informa’s platform, an institution will be able to use
the material in perpetuity by either locally hosting the content or use a third party solution to host
the content.
Also, Informa is now in discussions with various organizations that provide third party archive
solutions so as to ensure that all of the below titles are included in such initiatives (i.e. Portico and
LOCKSS).
Print Copies
The members can receive multiple print copies of the same journal for different sites (library) sites
free of cost. However they have to inform us of this prior to any order being processed and on the
condition that the journals are delivered to only one address stipulated by the client (whereby they
can then re-direct this internally).
