Burials at Holy Cross Catholic
Cemetery in Evart
Early Catholic burials in Evart were in the
Sacred Heart Catholic Church churchyard. In
1880, the new cemetery was set up on The
Muskegon River SW of Evart. Bodies from
the churchyard were moved to the new
cemetery. All records from the cemetery
were destroyed when the church burned in
1922. Only the following names are verified
as buried there.
