PRESS INFORMATION Sihl 04/2013 Sihl ClearSOL WetCling Film 125 New transparent Sihl polyester film for solvent inks Window advertising made simple yet effective! Sihl introduces the new ClearSOL WetCling Film 125, a new concept for window advertising: a transparent polyester film, which cleverly clings to smooth flat surfaces that are first wiped with soapy water. An easier, quicker or more efficient product cannot be found on the market. Düren June 2013 – Sihl will present the latest development for window graphics, ClearSOL WetCling Film 125 (3550) at FESPA in London from 25th – 29th June. A crystal clear polyester film, the first of its kind on the market, with a special coating that is activated by soapy water. Its swellable coating enables images printed with solvent inks to be stuck easily and quickly to a variety of smooth transparent surfaces. Using solvent inks the coated side of the film is printed and this is the side that is then applied to the wet glass or Acrylic glass surface. Simply wet the surface with soapy water, apply the film, reposition, using a squeegee push all excess liquid to the edges of the film and wipe away with a dry cloth/ towel: that is all that is needed for this film to cling to the chosen surface. It can also be removed without leaving behind any residue and is repositionable. The image also has full protection from all atmospheric influences which could cause damage – the film on the one side and the surface on the other side. As the coating only clings/ sticks after water activation, no release liner is required- saving waste. Ad’s that guarantee attention Sihl ClearSOL WetCling Film 125 (3550) is a polyester film which - thanks to its unique coating - offers more powerful adverts. The excellent colour brilliance and high ink saturation guarantees well defined prints with high contrast that can be efficiently and easily used at any time. The film can be used as a normal film when not activated by water. Mainly produced to be printed with solvent inks this film is also compatible with IR-Latex inks. UV ink can also be used, but when printing with UV the uncoated side of the film is printed and then the coated side is adhered to the chosen surface. Users will be astounded by the various application possibilities of this product and the second to none advertising qualities of the print.
