Bio for Keynote Speaker Barbara Endel Barbara Endel is a Senior Associate at Workforce Strategy Center. Prior to joining WSC, She was a Senior Program Officer with KnowledgeWorks Foundation located in Cincinnati, OH. In her role at KnowledgeWorks Foundation, Dr. Endel led a state-wide initiative in Ohio to integrate sectoral partnerships in fundamental ways with Career Pathways. In addition to launching Ohio's effort, Dr. Endel has consulted with the Louisiana Community & Technical College System to introduce Career Pathways concepts as a strategy to help rebuild following Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Endel has presented nationally on Career Pathways and other adult workforce issues at the American Association of Community Colleges, the National Council on Workforce Education, Grantmakers for Education, and several state conferences. Dr. Endel was also an invited participant at the September 14, 2006, U.S. Department of Education, Office of Adult and Vocational Education gathering of experts titled: "Adult Basic Education to Community College Transitions Symposium." Before her position at KnowledgeWorks Foundation, Barbara spent 15 years in Iowa City, IA working with community colleges and assessment solutions on a national basis. Barbara earned her B.A. from The College of Wooster (OH) and also a Master's and Doctorate from The University of Iowa.
