The Gale Power search feature in this database allows the user to search more than one
database at a time, for peer reviewed, full text journal articles in geology.
ProQuest Research Library
The database covers academic topics, including geology. It includes scholarly journals,
magazines, trade journals, and newspapers, from 1971 to current issues. It has more than
3,820 titles, and over 2,550 in full text.
ProQuest Science Journals
The database covers journals dating back to 1986 and features more than 490 titles, with
over 380 in full text, including geology. The full text titles appear just as they are
published in the magazine in full text format. The user can access charts, diagrams,
tables, photos and other graphical items in full text format.
Science Direct
Has reference books, handbooks, over 2,000 journals, and books. It covers science,
technology, and medicine full text and bibliographic information. It has a backfiles
program (historical archive) of over 6.75 million searchable articles prior to 1995.
Wiley Interscience Journals
The database has full text articles from over 2,500 journals, books, reference works,
databases, and laboratory manuals. It covers a number of scientific fields, including
geology. When the database is completed in 2007, the database will cover content dating
back to 1799.
