Igneous Story Movie Project PURPOSE: The purpose of this project is to create a movie to tell the story of the life cycle of an igneous rock. OBJECTIVES: Students will be able to include in their movie explanation of the following: What is the composition of the rock – minerals and crystal size. What conditions were necessary for the formation of your rock. What paths did it follow prior to reaching its final destination. Where on Earth was it formed? RESOURCES/MATERIALS: Digital Camera with USB computer link, Pin drive and Internet, construction paper, markers, props. ASSESSMENT: Movie Maker Rubric 2 Points 1 Point 1.
