TALIESIN WEST INSIGHTS TOUR
Situated on 600 acres of rugged Sonoran Desert beneath the
picturesque McDowell Mountain Range lies Taliesin West,
inspiration of and once home to the legendary Frank Lloyd
Wright. Now a National Historic Landmark, Taliesin West
serves as school and home to a steady stream of apprentices
eager to carry on in the tradition of the great architectural
master. In this communal existence, Mr. Wright's lifelong vision is perpetuated in reverence to the
man and his architectural genius.
The Insights Tour provides a unique opportunity for an intimate look at Taliesin West and to
experience this special place through the eyes and ears of some of its docents. Other points of interest
include the Music Pavilion, Kiva and Cabaret Theaters, Living room, and Frank Lloyd Wright's
private office.

DESERT BOTANICAL GARDEN TOUR
The Desert Botanical Garden which, founded in 1939 as an
experimental research and educational facility, contains
over 15,000 desert plants in its living collection
representing over 3500 different species.
Guests will enjoy a private tour on the Desert Discovery
Trail with one of the garden’s trained horticultural guides.
The tour is of the Garden’s main trail, which displays arid region plants from around the world. The
many interactive exhibits along the trail include the visitor challenge “Are You Saguaro Smart?”
information on the Agave or “Century Plant”, and different calls of the Garden’s residential birds.
Occasionally the Garden also offers docent tended stations throughout the tour covering various
topics from "what is a succulent" to "edibles of the desert."

Custom Wine Bottling Experience
The group will be greeted with a gourmet catered selection of fruit and cheeses. Guests can also have a
chance to sample any 5 wines of their choosing to enjoy for the evening. Finally, guests will learn how
to bottle their own wine through a unique bottling experience that includes cleaning and sanitizing
the bottle, filling the bottle with a pre-selected wine, corking, and labeling the bottle with their own
personalized wine label to take home with them to commemorate the event. The sophisticated, yet
fun, tasting room makes an ideal location. The winery also strives to make wine more fun and friendly
by breaking down the barriers of wine-speak and wine snobbery. Educational sessions are held to

The Heard Museum is internationally recognized for its extensive collection of Native American
artifacts and contemporary fine art offering an unparalleled opportunity to learn about the rich cultural
heritage of the prehistoric and present day inhabitants of the desert Southwest.
A professional guided tour of "Native Peoples of the Southwest: The Permanent Collection of The Heard Museum"
is a must as it chronicles the 15,000 year history of these incredible people. The award winning exhibit provides a
very special look at a well preserved and carefully excavated prehistoric pit house, authentic replicas of the more
modern Navajo Hogan and Apache Wickiup, hundreds of rare and historic photographs and countless examples of
Native American basketry, pottery, jewelry and much, much more painstakingly researched and catalogued.

Wrigley Mansion Afternoon Tea and Tour
Wrigley Mansion, also known as “La Colina Solana”, the sunny hill, was one of five Wrigley family estates. In
1930, the chewing gum magnate, William Wrigley, Jr., built this 24-room showpiece as a gift for his wife Ada.
The Mansion was restored in 1992 after being purchased by a patriarch of the Hormel Meat Co. family. The
restoration revitalized the Mansion recapturing the feeling and ambiance of the 1930’s when the Wrigley family
entertained presidents and dignitaries from around the world. Details such as the magnificent Steinway grand
player piano, the Rotunda with its circular staircase and more than three million dollars of fine art and antiques
are all showcased for your group’s enjoyment. Overlooking the city lights below, your guests will be treated to
the creations of nationally renowned chefs. The Wrigley Mansion’s menu features both specialties and

Sonoran Desert River Float
Our relaxing and refreshing Scenic River Rafting Tour is a perfect
introduction to the beauty and wonder of the Sonoran Desert. The
lower Salt and Verde rivers are favorite foraging areas for bald
eagles, coyotes, wild horses, mule deer and desert bighorn sheep.
Rugged mountains fill the background as we journey downstream
between towering saguaro cactus and shady mesquite groves.
Strangely beautiful plant and animal communities, unique to the
desert southwest, provide us with abundant photo and learning
opportunities. Our guides can share their extensive knowledge of
the interesting and colorful history of the area, discuss the native
plants and animals that we encounter along the way or simply keep
a watchful eye over our guests during a spirited water fight.
Many of our guests want to learn more about this unique
environment while others simply want to relax and sunbathe. The
lower Salt and Verde rivers are swiftly moving, but feature no large
rapids. Our guests can stay warm and dry in the winter or cool off
with a refreshing swim during the warmer summer months, making this tour an ideal addition to your

DESERT RIVER/LAKE KAYAKING
Kayaking is a great way to take a break and enjoy the
gorgeous waters that surround the Valley. Our kayaks are
the easy to use and very safe sit on top kayaks – easier than
a canoe and much more fun. Guests enjoy the freedom and
control with these as they ease themselves along at their
own speed. By nature, there is an abundance of wildlife
that lives along or visit the shoreline frequently and this
offers a unique opportunity to see them in their natural
setting. Always great to get on the water, and our guides
provide the know how to ensure a safe and memorable experience. We gear everyone up so as they
are comfortable and then proceed with a very thorough beach instruction to ensure everyone is safe
and comfortable on the water. Guides travel along side them entertaining and sharing with them the

SEDONA SPLENDOUR
Renowned for its breathtakingly beautiful red rock canyons, Sedona is a must-see for the first time Arizona visitor and
return guest alike. Once known only to the Anasazi, or native peoples of the area, this crimson valley with its soaring
sandstone cliffs was originally thrust into the modern spotlight upon the publication of Zane Grey's Call of the Canyon
and Hollywood's subsequent filming of the book on location in Sedona. Today, Sedona serves as a mecca to hundreds of
artists who find inspiration in its stunning natural surroundings and to tourists unable to resist its unique charm and
ambiance.
Along the way, your guests will have the opportunity to visit Montezuma's Castle National Monument and explore this
well preserved example of a Southwestern Native American Cliff Dwelling attributed to the Sinagua Indians dating back
to 800 - 1400 A.D.
