Mission
Know Your City is a nonprofit
organization that connects
people to place. To fulfill our
mission, we organize tours,
lectures, publications and
youth programs. Our programs
engage the public through
experiential learning, creative
placemaking, policy-making
and culture.
Station, and some work that can be done remotely. This position requires a 4
month commitment.
DUTIES:

Manage inventory in the opening of downtown kiosk: contact, place
orders and receive gifts about Portland, including books, postcards,
and Portland-specific media.

Manage and keep track of Know Your City publications and
merchandise.

Set up and maintain proper filing system for tracking orders and
inventory.

Assist with marketing efforts, including: event planning, social media,
and press outreach.

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Person who subscribes to KYC’s mission and core values.

Person who has the time and means to engage in unpaid volunteer
work on a consistent basis.

Person with basic understanding of computer software (Word, Excel,
e-mail).

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
COMPENSATION:
This is an unpaid volunteer position. In lieu of monetary compensation,
volunteer receives free KYC membership and admittance to KYC tours,
lectures, events & programs. Position will also receive paid monthly Tri-Met
Pass for office commuting and doing office errands. If own motor vehicle is
