VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION/ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION
An agreed upon time has been set aside, by you and your on-site
supervisor, for your Orientation. Please be prompt.
Please bring your Elon Student ID and your Driver’s License/State ID Card
(if you have one) to your orientation meeting.
Please fill out the Criminal Background Check Form and bring that with you
as well. (A Criminal Background check will be run before you can began
your volunteer duties.)
Your duties, the Center Policies/Procedures and your schedule will be
addressed during Orientation.
You will be assigned a schedule. Please be prompt. Please call your
Supervisor if you are going to be absent/late as soon as possible.
You will be issued an ID badge. This must be worn at all times when you
are volunteering. Please leave it at the front desk and pick up each time
you volunteer.
All volunteers must sign in and out each time they volunteer. This log is
located at the front desk.
You will be required to sign a Confidentiality Statement upon completion of
Orientation.
Volunteer/Staff Dress Code
Please do not wear low-cut or sheer blouses/shirts or ShortShorts/very short Skirts/Dresses as you will be interacting with
participants, bending over them at times to assist. No Midriff baring
tops please.
No open-toe shoes/flip flops are allowed. These constitute a safety
hazard.
No PJ’s Please (Yes, it has happened!)
Jeans/Pants/Shorts/T-shirts/Sweats (no offensive/derogatory
statements/pictures please)/shirts/blouses/dresses/Sneakers are permitted.
