CLUBS ASSOCIATED WITH MARINE CONTINGENT, THE CITADEL The unique opportunities associated with Marine Corps presence at The Citadel have nurtured the formation of independent clubs to further contribute to the education, physical strength and traditions of the Corps. Participation in these units is voluntary and does not supersede the published orders and directives of NROTC Unit, The Citadel. SEMPER FIDELIS SOCIETY: An organized club, open to all students of The Citadel, the charter of the Semper Fidelis Society is to expose the Marine Corps to all interested members of the Corps of Cadets, promoting Marine camaraderie and Esprit de Corps. Guest Speakers and the Bulldog Challenge are just a few of the events offered by this organization. MARINE RAIDER PLATOON: An organized club, open to all students of The Citadel regardless of their servicespecific aspirations, this unit allows students who desire to conduct physical training more often then what the Unit officially offers during the school year. Successful completion of the cumulating endurance test qualifies the student for the organizational patch. LOW COUNTRY LEATHERNECKS: This organization is geared toward those former Marines within the Charleston community to socialize and stay current to today’s Marine Corps. A proud sponsor of the Marine Contingent, this organization holds monthly luncheons on campus and will be participating with the unit for the Marine Corps Birthday Ball. Encl (14)
