Chief Officer, Sawantwadi Municipal Council, Sawantwadi invites sealed tender from the reputed
and original manufacturers or authorized supplier of the original manufacturers for the following work
–
Name of the work : Supplying Bamboo furniture for Shilpgram for Sawantwadi Municipal
Council, at Sawantwadi, Dist.- Sindhudurg, State – Maharastra.
Detail specification of Supplying Bamboo furniture for Shilpgram are given in tender form.
Tendered should submit specification of their Bamboo furniture in the same format.
1) Earnest money Rs. 10000/2) Delivery period 100 days from the date of work order.
3) Date for supply of blank tender form 25/ 11/2005 To 29/11/2005 ( In office hours excluding
holidays)
4) Cost of blank tender form Rs. 500 /- (Postal charges @ 50 /- Extra.)
Tender forms can be obtain in person from The Office of Chief Officer, Sawantwadi Municipal
Council , Sawantwadi on payment of the cost of tender form or in case of demand draft of nationalized
bank in favor of Chief Officer, Sawantwadi Municipal Council payable at Sawantwadi.
Request for tender form by post will be entertained only up to 6 days before the date of issue of
the blank tender form. Sawantwadi Municipal council is not responsible for the postal delay.
The above tender form is also available on our web site www.sawantwadimc.org. This site
permits downloading the tender document. The intending tenderers may visit this site & download the
tender document. While submitting the tender document they should attach demand draft of
nationalized bank in favor of Chief Officer, Sawantwadi Municipal Council payable at Sawantwadi
towards the coast of the tender document in addition to separate demand draft towards earnest money
deposit in envelope No. 1
The sealed tenders should be submitted to the Head Clerk, Sawantwadi Municipal Council in
person in the office of Sawantwadi Municipal Council at Sawantwadi along with the earnest money on
or before 1 /12 /2005 ( Up to 16.00 hr.). Tenders will be opened in the chamber of chief officer at 16.30
hr. on the same date in presence of tendered / authorized representative who desire to be present.
The Municipal Council reserves the rights to accept or reject any or all offers without assigning any
reasons thereof. The Municipal Council should be under no obligation to accept the lowest or any other
offer received in response of this tender notice. Only the technically best machinery satisfying
e requirement of Municipal Council will be accepted and decision of award of work of contract be
taken. Successful tenderer will have to enter in to agreement as per the terms and condition of
Municipal Council.

TENDERING PROCEDURE
1) Manner of submitting of tender and its accompaniments-Tender to be
submitted in two separate sealed envelopes –Tenderer shall submit the tender and
documents in two sealed envelopes below -
1) Envelop No.1 : (Document and Technical Bid)A) Certificate as a
manufacturer or similar type or authorized dealer/ distributor/agent of such manufacturer or
similar type.B) An up to date Income Tax clearance certificate duly attested by gazetted
officer or in original.C) Sales Tax/ Vat Tax registration certificate duly attested by gazetted
officer or in original.D) Details of works of similar type and magnitude carried out by the
supplier.E) If the firm is Partnership firm then attested copy of Partnership deed.F) Detailed
technical specification of the furniture along with the photographs and brochures.
2) Envelop No.2: (Tender Financial Bid)The second envelop clearly
marked as envelope No.2 shall contain only the tender (financial bid) including common set
of conditions/stipulation issued by the Municipal Council. Tender submitted without this
would be consider invalid. The tenderer should quote his offer on schedule B of the tender
as item rate in figure and words. A tender shall be unconditional.
OPENING OF
TENDER :- One the date specified in the tender notice following
procedure will be
adopted for opening of the tender.
Envelop No.1: First of all Envelop No 1 of the tender will be opened to verify it’s
contents as per requirements. If the various documents contain in this envelope do not
meet the requirements of the council a note will be recorded accordingly by the tender
opening authority and said tenderer’s Envelope No.2 will not be consider for further action,
but the same will be recorded. Decision of the council will be final and binding.

: This envelope shall be opened immediately after opening
no.1 only if contents of envelop no 1 are found to be acceptable to the council .

ACCEPTANCE OF TENDERThe acceptance of tender may be
communicated to the contractor-The successful tenderer will be required to execute
agreement as desired by Municipal Council on stamp paper of appropriate value with his
own cost.
PERIOD FOR SUPPLY :100 days from the date of work
order.ELIGIBILITY :Reputed Bamboo manufacturer or authorized dealer, distributor,
agent of a manufacturer are eligible. Tenderer should note that the Municipal Council is not
obliged to give the order to the lowest bidder but will made its decision based on quality
technical analysis, experience of the bidder, appearance and design of the goods

CONDITION OF CONTRACT : RATES : F.D.Destination TAXESSale Tax
– InclusiveExcise Duty – Included in ratePacking and forwarding charges- Included in
rateTransit Insurance – Included in rate.
DELIVERY : Within 100 days from the date of work order.
PAYMENT TERMS :90% payment towards supply will be made within 15 days.
After satisfactory supply of all material as per specification. Balance payment 10% shall be
made within 30 days from the date of satisfactory inspection by the interior designer

producing
performance
guarantee.6)WARRANTEE:The supplier provides comprehensive on site warrantee
for period of one year from the date of completion of contract, i.e. full supply of Bamboo
furniture. The supplier shall be fully responsible for the manufacturers warrantee for
Bamboo furniture. Against any defects arising from design, material, or any defect that
may develop under use of supplied
Bamboo furniture during the warrantee period. 7)
PENALTY FOR DELAY SUPPLY:If Bamboo furniture is not supplied within
specification time limit, then penalty charges at rate 250/- per day will be charged.8)
QUALITY OF GOODS :-All Bamboo furniture must confirm to the high quality
and standard. The Municipal Council or it’s representative will carry out inspection to
confirm the quality it terms of specification, technical details. All product made from
oxypenanthera stocksii / Bambusa Arundinathetia bamboo treated with Boric – Borax dip
diffusion treatment . Moisture content should be less than 15 % Application of tow cotes of
polyurethane based wood finish / with three coats of melamine wood finish.
9)PACKING :-
The supplier shall provide such a packing of
the goods as if required to prevent their damage or deterioration during transit to the final
destination. The packing shall be all weatherproof and shall be sufficient to with stand
without limitation for rough handling during transit if required.

I/we agree that offer shall remain open for acceptance for a minimum period of 60 days from
the date of opening the same and thereafter until it is withdrawn by me/ us by notice in writing ,
duly addressed to the authority opening the tender send by Register Post

(A.D.) or otherwise delivered at the office of the such authority. The amount of earnest money
shall not beard interest and shall be liable to be forfeited to the council, if I / We fail to Abide
by the stipulation to keep the offer open for the period mentioned above or sign and complete
the contract document as required by the Chief Officer within the time limit laid down.
Should
this Tender be accepted I / We hereby agree to abide by and fulfill all the terms and provisions
of the conditions of contract annexed here to so far as applicable and default thereof forfeit
and pay to Council the sums of money mentioned in the said conditions. Should this Tender be
accepted I / We hereby agree to excite an agreement on stamp paper specifying the terms
and conditions of the contract and penalties to which. I / We becomes liable it. I / We fails to
