Each system of the human body is studied for its' major organs and how they work together to keep an individual alive. One goal of the course is to give students a rigorous science course for college preparation and entrance requirements. Anatomy/Physiology is a good introductory course for those interested in medical related careers. Instruction Each unit is studied in the following manner: 1. Notes, lecture, demonstration of concepts. 2. Assignments are given which give practice and review of the concepts. 3. Lab activity demonstrating examples of the concepts. 4. Unit review. 5. Unit test. Grading - Daily class/homework assignments: 2 - 30 points each. Labs: 6 - 25 points each. Tests: 35 - 90 points each. Quizzes: 10 - 25 points each. Portfolio: 15 points.
