ANNOUNCEMENTS
Worship Services:
9:00 a.m. - Faith Awakes (Non-traditional Service in the Fellowship Hall)
9:45 a.m. - Coffee and Conversation
10:00 a.m. - Sunday School
11:00 a.m. - Traditional Lutheran Worship Service
Welcome to Worship! We are glad you are here with us today! If you are a visitor, please
sign the guest register located in the front entrance of the church as you leave worship today.
Again, we welcome you to our congregation and hope you will worship with us again.
If you or someone you know is in need of a pastoral visit, please do not hesitate to call the pastor.
He can be reached either at the office (532-4273) or at his house (532-5272).
Faith After Hours is now pre-registering children in Grades K4-5th for the Faith After Hours
after school program. Pre-registration forms can be picked up and dropped off at the church
office; additional registration forms are on the bulletin board in the Education Building. The
program will open August 18 and will run Monday -Friday from 2:45-6:30 p.m. and will include
a snack, homework help/tutoring, and a Christian-based lesson or activity. We are now preregistering students and anyone interested or who needs more information can call our church
office at 532-4273.
Today, July 25 – Youth Pool party at Eddie and Sara Holleys’ house.
Lunch will be provided at church right after the church service and then we will go to their house
and swim and eat ice cream.
Reverend Gerald Wallace will be our guest pastor on August 1 while Pastor Evans and family
will be on vacation from July 26 through August 2. For emergencies, contact Stan Hilton.
There will be a Congregational meeting on August 8 to discuss the Educational Building roof.
No Faith Awakes Service that day.
Promotion Sunday will be on August 15. Certificates will be handed out immediately following
Coffee and Conversation. Students will then have a brief class.
Homecoming plans are in the works by the Worship Team for August 29 with Pastor Tony Metze
as our guest speaker for that day. Remember that there will not be a Faith Awakes Service or
Coffee and Conversation time that morning due to the scheduled time change: Sunday School at
9:45 a.m. and Worship at 10:45 a.m. for fifth Sunday Services only.
Several months ago church council asked members of the church to act as overseer of the
Education Building during the morning church services. It is imperative the individual on duty
stay in the Education Building area during the entire church service.
The Property and Endowment Teams are researching the replacement cost of a new roof for the
entire Education Building. A sketch of the proposed roof is available for your viewing on the
white board in the Education Building foyer. Additional information will be announced soon.
ATTENTION ALL TEAM CHAIRS: It is important that you communicate anything that needs
to be in the bulletin to the church secretary. Please do not rely on the pastor to do this unless you
have told him directly to tell the church secretary to put something in the bulletin. If your Team
has a secretary, this communication would be his or her job. Please do not assume that the
secretary knows. The secretary can be reached at 532-4273 or by e-mail at
faithevangelical@bellsouth.net. Thank you for your co-operation. Pastor Mitch
All announcements for the bulletin need to be in the office no later than 12:00 noon on each
Tuesday. Email: faithevangelical@bellsouth.net
Coffee and Conversation volunteers are still needed for August through December; a sign-up
sheet is available on the bulletin board in the Education Building.
ATTENTION: For safety concerns, please do not go into the balcony of the church.
