SECTION 2: EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Taster sessions are being arranged for Autumn/Winter 2014-15. Dates will be published on the NSA website once confirmed. Please use the table below to list your preferred locations. Preferred location (please state which region(s) would be your preferred location) Participant Eligibility This programme is aimed at Operational Leaders (AKA Service Managers, Registered Managers, Branch Managers and their deputies) working in adult social care services. The National Skills Academy reserves the right to evaluate the suitability of participants put forward for taster sessions. Based on this level of management, we will expect that they are fully conversant and competent in accessing moderate ICT functions and systems. Lead to Succeed - Taster Sessions - Expression of Interest Form Page 1 of 3 Participants (please detail below how many places you would be hoping to book and roles) SECTION 3: HOSTING OPPORTUNITY If you have the facilities to host one of our taster sessions we would love to hear from you. The following facilities are required for each Lead to Succeed Taster Session that we are running: Training venue suitable for up to 16 learners and up to 2 facilitators Tables and chairs accommodating 4 people around each table facing the front of the room with ample space for both the facilitator and learners to move around One table and chairs for the facilitator(s) and projector equipment Table for participants on entry to sign attendance list and collect name badges Screen for PowerPoint presentation, flipchart and marker pens Wall space or other suitable display stands/flat surfaces to stick up flip chart paper Support on the day to accommodate facilitator and learner requirements (e.g. room temperature) Accept and store handouts couriered prior to commencement of the workshop Necessary AV equipment including data projectors laptop, sound equipment, etc. Facilities / venue would need to be suitable in accordance with the provisions of the Disabilities Discrimination Act 1998. The Skills Academy would reimburse the costs of catering and refreshments up to a maximum rate of £150. This should cover morning and afternoon tea, coffee and biscuits and a sandwich lunch, with fruit juice, water, tea and coffee. If you would like to offer up a venue for consideration please fill in the details in the table below and we shall follow up with you directly. As a hosting organisation we would be able to offer you 2 additional free places on the Taster Session.
