Dear Parents, Family and Friends
Shuffle-Up
Next Thursday and Friday afternoon the children will be shuffling up a year group,
experiencing school life in the year above, ready for the new academic year.
May Queen
This week the school cast their votes. It was close, and may we congratulate Cecilia
Jennings who has been voted this year’s May Queen.
Leavers Photos
Year 6 parents are invited to come into school on Monday 13th July from 2.30pm to take
photos of their children and their friends. Hopefully it will be a nice day, and we can do this
in the grounds.
Bumped Heads
If the younger children bump their heads during the school day we will give them a sticker
and put a letter into their book bag. Older children will be given a letter to take home.
Please check your children’s bags at the end of each day in case your child’s sticker falls off,
or they forget to tell you they’ve bumped their head!
Staff Structure
A letter will be sent next week with information about the school staffing from September
onwards.
Magna Carta Day
Next Tuesday is Magna Carta Day, celebrating 800 years since that historic document was
signed by King John. There will be a special assembly for the children and the day will be
devoted to this theme.
SIAMS Inspection
As you know, Loders is a Church of England school, and we have periodic SIAMS
inspections (Statutory Inspection of Anglican & Methodist Schools). We have our inspection
next Wednesday. These inspections are usually carried out every few years (our last one
was in 2009) and will continue when we become part of the Academy Trust.
