BRUNSWICK COUNTY
GRASS CUTTING SERVICES
SOLID WASTE CONVENIENCE CENTERS
Brunswick County is soliciting bids to perform grass cutting services at each of
the nine (9) solid waste convenience centers located throughout the County. The
locations are as follows:
Ante Convenience Center, 619 Pair’s Drive, Emporia
Cochran Convenience Center, 8318 Boydton Plank Road, Alberta
Dolphin Convenience Center, 8531 Liberty Road, Dolphin
Ebony Convenience Center, 116 Doctor Purdy Road, Blackridge
Freeman Convenience Center, 1121 Freeman Cross Road, Freeman
Gasburg Convenience Center, 5685 Gasburg Road, Gasburg
South Brunswick Convenience Center, 9162 Christanna Highway, Lawrenceville
Totaro Convenience Center, 620 Fox Lane, Lawrenceville
Warfield Convenience Center, 7315 Sturgeon Road, Warfield
Bidder will perform grass cutting, trimming and related maintenance work at all
locations. Submit bids by utilizing a per site rate. All of the convenience centers
are open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday,
Saturday and Sunday. The centers are closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Interested individuals may contact Ms. Ella Ridley, Director of Solid Waste
Management, at 434-848-3562 to coordinate a visit to any of the sites. The
successful bidder shall submit proof of adequate liability and worker’s
compensation insurance as approved by the County. Bids are to be submitted to
the Office of the County Administrator, 102 Tobacco Street, P.O. Box 399,
Lawrenceville, Virginia no later than 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009.
Brunswick County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
