TRANSLATION PROPOSAL and SHORT RESUME
Dear clients,
Please let me introduce myself first.
My name is Perdian Tumanan and I am interested in your translation project.
I have more than nine years experiences as translator and editor, and help establishing a small Christian
publishing house in my country, Literatur Perkantas Jatim--translating English book into Indonesian (you
could see the website here: http://www.literaturperkantas.com/ ).
Until now I have translated 3 major academic books and one academic article.
Mostly, I translate religion/spirituality/psychology books or article. But I could also work on another subject
such as engineering, media, business, etc. I have Bachelor degree in Engineering and Master in
Theology degree.
I also have experiences for about 7 years teaching at the university and theological schools as adjunct

n%20Implikasinya%20Bagi%20Pemuridan%20Kristen%20Masa%20Kini.pdf ).
For one and a half years, I was working with an International humanitarian NGO, World Vision Indonesia,
based in West Kalimantan Area. I was responsible to develop region cooperation and collaboration with
cultural and faith leaders. This experience makes me quite familiar with various documents from
worksheets, training tool, work reports, surveys, financial reports, etc.
This experience also makes me familiar while working with various documents from non-profit sector
(such as: International NGO, UN agencies) and from business/profit sector as well.
I could work 5 hours/day, 5 days a week.
I am giving guarantee to my client, that my translation result would be zero "grammar error" (especially
English to Indonesia translation), readable to common people yet still faithful to its original meaning and
intention.
I am a native speaker. And now I reside in one of the most beautiful cultural city of the country, Jogjakarta
TRANSLATION METHODOLOGY
I always believe that human is the best translator/interpreter of a language. Translation is not just about
change a word into another language, but also to understand its context, spirit and purpose. So, for me
simply using translation tool in a translation project is a bad idea.
So it is very important to also understand to nature, context and purpose of the organization from which
the article will be translated. That is why it is usually for me to search any important information and
highlights before doing the translation.
I prefer not just doing word-to-word/literal translation but also considering for adaptive and communicative
translation. My focus is to make sure that the translation result is not just reliable but also readable.
FINANCIAL
I offer a competitive and low price as follow:
English to Indonesia
: € 0.07 (or US$ 0.095) / source word. (10% discount will be given if your
document is more than 30.000 source words).
