2011 UNDERGRADUATE BURSARIES FOR ELECTIVE STUDIES IN CLINICAL RADIOLOGY AND CLINICAL ONCOLOGY Applications are invited from UK clinical undergraduate medical students for 10 Bursaries of £200 each, funded by the Royal College of Radiologists. The Bursaries are intended to support medical students wishing to undertake an elective period of study in clinical radiology (five bursaries) or clinical oncology (five bursaries). Electives may be undertaken in the UK or abroad. At the end of the Elective, the successful applicants will be required to render a report to the Royal College of Radiologists. Applications should comprise (1) The student's full name, permanent address and medical school (2) A brief curriculum vitae (3) A detailed breakdown of the intended project (4) A letter of support from a consultant clinical radiologist or oncologist (as appropriate), associated with student’s medical school, with whom the project has been discussed. Application and Assessment Procedure Two copies of applications are required. Applications should be sent to Cilla Heath, Education Administrator, at the Royal College of Radiologists, 38 Portland Place, London W1B 1JQ, to arrive not later than Friday 15 April 2011. The Warden of the appropriate Faculty of the Royal College of Radiologists will consider applications. The decision of the Warden is final and binding. It is intended that the Warden’s recommendations will be reported to the Specialty Training Board meetings of 3 June and 10 June 2011 for approval.
