Free public lecture: Shades of grey: image perception & performance in radiology This lecture will explore the ways in which we process information from medical images, how we make decisions based on what we see, the external influences that affect our performance and how we might manage the performance of radiologists in the future. Date: Wednesday 4 November 2015 Time: 6.30 pm – 7.30 pm Location: The Royal College of Radiologists, London (nearest underground station: Holborn) We are delighted to welcome Professor Andoni Toms Andoni Toms is a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and Honorary Professor at the University of East Anglia. Andoni graduated from Bart’s Medical School in 1991, completed his radiology training in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge in 2001 and his subspecialty musculoskeletal radiology training in Canada in 2002. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers, particularly on the subject of imaging of metal-on-metal hip replacements. His current research interest is in developing new magnetic resonance (MR) biomarkers in treating osteoarthritis.
