Objectives
1. Describe how diversity contribute to stability in an
ecosystem.
Directions: You will be creating two food webs in this activity.
I.
In your first food web will use the all of the picture from set “A” and create a food web. (It is a good idea to
place the all organisms where you want them before you glue them down).
a. The consumers in your web will only consume 2 different organisms. Your producers will feed as many
consumers as you choose.
b. Be sure to include arrows in your food web and label your web “High Biodiversity”.
II. Once you have completed your first food web, use the all of the consumers and ½ of the producers from Set B,
to create a second food web. (It is a good idea to place the all organisms where you want them before you
glue them down).
a. Be sure to include arrows and title the web “Low Biodiversity”. When both webs have been completed
see your teacher for scenario cards.
b. The scenario cards will be applied to both webs.
Answer the following questions as you will apply the scenario cards to each of the webs.
