Description of content: The notified Agreement sets forth the general criteria applied by Mexico in order to establish, update or amend health and safety requirements for the importation of animal, plant, aquaculture and fisheries products regulated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (hereinafter "the Ministry"), through the decentralized administrative body of the National Agriculture and Food Health, Safety and Quality Service (SENASICA). The requirements established by the Ministry will apply to persons intending to import animal, plant, aquaculture or fisheries products, i.e. live animals, or goods of animal origin or for animal use or consumption; plants, plant products and by-products; live aquatic animals, aquaculture and fishery products and by-products; and used agricultural or livestock equipment. Importers must meet the requirements at the first point of entry into Mexico, at the SENASICA Agricultural Health Inspection Offices, in order to obtain the relevant health certificate allowing the goods to enter the country, or join, as reliable suppliers, the programmes that permit goods to be imported into the country and G/SPS/N/MEX/259 -2transported to their destination without inspection. The notified Agreement will apply to natural and legal persons intending to import the goods concerned. 7.
