Course Objective
Students will be able to recognize their knowledge of language structure: words, sentences, and
paragraphs in context. They will gain control of their prose and its effects on the reader. They will
also be able to make good decisions as they write and revise: appropriate words, grammatical
choice, and punctuation.

Course Description: The relationship between language structures and lexical items, the attribution of meaning by
means of these structures, analysis of language structures within the framework of a context so as to establish relations
between form and text type, production of advanced level texts synthesizing these structures.
