Award Winners – The Olde Bull Inn at Barton Mills
The team at The Olde Bull Inn are delighted to announce that they have won the
regional award for the Morning Advertisers Pub Awards "Best Newcomer of 2008", they
are now set to go to the Hilton on Park Lane, London in September to collect this award.
They are still up for two further awards, which will be announced on the night;

Cheryl and Wayne are both very excited about the award and it means huge amounts to
them to have both theirs and their teams hard work and determination recognised in
some way. The Olde Bull has been transformed in just 12 months from a shabby old
coaching inn to somewhere that people from far and wide meet for great ales, honest
home cooked food and a relaxed atmosphere.
One of the elements of the award was a commitment to supporting local charities and
this is an area that The Olde Bull Inn scored highly in as they hold a number of events
throughout the year to support local worthwhile charities. The next event to be held is
BullFest on Saturday 23rd August this is an all day live music festival being staged in aid
of the East Anglian Air Ambulance and the “Nickys Way” programme from St Nicolas
Hospice in Bury St Edmunds. BullFest is free to attend, the festival starts at 1.30 and the
last band will finish about 11.30pm, all donations collected on the day will go direct to
the nominated charities.
