The Art History Portfolio is a compilation of all of the work, including homework's, notes, handouts, papers, reproductions, and research into an attractively bound publication. This document is graded at the end of each marking period and in its completed state will be presented at the end of the year as part of the final exam grade. All work must be typed and organized so that a viewer can easily view the work. A table of contents is required as well as numbered pages and easy to read tabs. Hand made color or other illustrations are encouraged .

Class policies

1.

Respect, respect, respect

2.

Come to class prepared with all books, materials, and assignments. Assignments should be labeled with name and the date in the top right hand corner.

3.

You must receive permission from the teacher to leave class with the pass at any time.

4.

Participate, participate, and participate.

Attendance

Regular attendance during each grading period is necessary for a passing grade in the course.

For all absences : o Students shall be responsible for making up missed work for each absence. Students will receive 100% credit for all make-up work for all absences completed within the allotted time, (i.e., a day of make-up work for each day or absence)

Make-up policies o Each student must make arrangements with the teacher for completing all make-up work.

The arrangements should be made as soon as possible after returning from the absence.

The student is responsible for getting the missed assignments (either from the teacher or from fellow classmates). THE TEACHER WILL NOT REMIND STUDENTS TO DO

MAKE-UP WORK. IF THE ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT COMPLETED IN THE

ALLOTED TIME, THEY WILL RECEIVE A ZERO FOR THAT ASSIGNMENT.

Making up in-class assignments and /or homework . o Students will have the same amount of time they missed in order to complete the makeup in-class and homework assignments. For example, if the student missed three days of school, and if there were in-class and or homework assignments each day, then that student would have three day after returning to school to complete the make-up work.

WARNING: This means the student will be doing double duty on the three days.

Making up tests o Students have one week after returning from an absence to make up a test either before or after school. After that one week; if the student has not taken the test then he or she relinquishes the right to do so and will receive a zero on the test. The longer a

Quizzes student waits to make up test usually results in a much lower test score.

o IF MISSED YOUR HAVE A WEEK TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO MAKE

UP THE EXAM.. If the student is absent he or she will receive a zero for the quiz until the quiz is made up. The lowest quiz score of the marking period will be dropped.

As an AP Art History Student, I have read the attached statements regarding how my grade will be determined, the expectations of the class and agree to follow all rules for the year. If I feel like this is unfair or I did not receive the grade deserved, I have the right to speak with Mrs. Lock, regarding my progress and or behavior.
