Thank you very much for meeting with us, the Ohio Association of Child Caring Agencies, last
week to discuss federal child and family issues. We appreciate the time you spent listening to
our concerns and informing us of Senator Brown’s priorities.
During the meeting you requested that we send you a white paper on the Title IV-E “Look Back”
problem. The white paper is included with this letter. After reading it, please let us know if you
need clarification or if you have any questions.
We are eager to assist you and Senator Brown to promote child and family issues and to
advocate for all 19,000 Ohio children in foster care. Toward that end, we invite Senator Brown
and yourself to join us in Columbus to meet with stakeholders who serve vulnerable children
and their families. This will be an opportunity for Senator Brown to speak with our association
and member agencies about the issues that impact our ability to provide high quality services
and how he can help us.
Please let us know when the Senator will be home in Ohio in May so we can schedule a date
convenient for him.
