1) Introduction
Participants: Qatar Charity UNDP, SATHI SALWS Garib Itehad, PRDO, ILAP, AGHAZ. RWF,
HANDS, UNHABITAT, IOM, SPO, SHARP, OCHA, HDF ASWA, SSWA, SALBWS, ADO,
SAHARA, SSDO, GIWA, ADS, NARI DEVELOPMENT ORG.
The meeting started with a recitation of Holy Quran, and quick round of introduction.
2) Agencies Update:

HDF is building a model village in Siddique Maddo, UC Lakhat. Initially they are constructing
15 houses, the next more 25 houses are under construction Houses entail one room (size:
14X16) and one bathroom; the total cost per Unit is 200,000/Rs (2257$).
ACTION: Shelter organizations are advised to seek for guidance from the Shelter Cluster on how
to reduce the cost of their shelters and target a larger number of beneficiaries

HANDS has completed the assessment for the distribution of 1250 roofing kits in Ucs Syed
Khan Lund and Allah Yar Turk; distribution will start within week as they are expecting
delivery of roofing kits in 3 or 4 days.

HANDS is re going to build 1,500 low cost shelters in U.C Bulri shah Karim; if possible in
Molkatyar also will also be targeted; Now they are in the process of the formation of CBOs; up
to date they formed 5 CBOs out of 25. The cost of each unit is 28,000/rs, and includes a direct
contribution of beneficiaries (8,000 PKR).

UNHABITAT provided an update on their project : they completed the distribution of 5,600
temporary shelters in UCs Syed Moto, Lakhat and Moya. Village list was shared with the
Shelter Cluster. 940 Transitional Shelters are in progress; 980 latrines were also constructed,
and UNHABITAT distributed 2500 solar lights, and installed 250 hand pumps and 50 led
pumps.

IOM representative shared the progress of IPs Aghaz, Nari development organization and
also clarified that all assessment will go to the Shelter Cluster for with the Focal point of
shelter and NFI cluster; IPs will be instructed to attend all cluster meetings. IOM is welcoming
updates from partners on their areas of activities to avoid duplications.

Aghaz started the distribution of 1000 roofing kit in UC Moya and Syed Lund with the support
of IOM (villages were checked against UNHABITAT list to avoid overlapping)

Nari Development organization distributed the roofing kits (500) in Bakar Ali Shah, Raheem
Bhatti, Varyal Sandh villages of UC Sheikh Birgio

Root work foundation: An assessment for the distribution of 6,465 hygiene kits & clothes
packages has been completed. 3698 packages were disseminated via students going to
temporary learning centers. RWF is also managing 100 Temporary Learning Centers in 5
Ucs; the organization is also conducting hygiene awareness session -300 sessions organized
so far.

Shah Abdul Latif Bhatio welfare society shared their expected project of 28 shelters (one
room, and a wash room with the support of DFID.

3) Action points

ACTION-I: Shelter Cluster agencies are invited to report their activities using the 3W
reporting format

ACTION-II: AGHAZ, UNHABITAT, HANDS and IOM will share the list of their working
areas to each other and also to cluster this will be the best way to cut down the
chances of duplication.
