If you do not know what career to choose pick one that interests you. E-mail Diane Stark at d.stark@phoenixcollege.edu with your name and your CIS105 section II. Find a person who currently works in that career field and interview them. a. Set up the interview with them. Before you go to the interview, use Microsoft Word to print out an interview form Open Microsoft Word 2010 Select File Select New Find Office Templates and then forms Select Employment Forms Select Applicant’s Interview Notes Form Fill in the information requested on the form. Under Questions to Ask Interviewer include these questions: What is your current position? What kind of qualifications where needed to obtain your position? How long have you been working in this career field? Why did you choose this career field? What kind of software do you use in your career field? What kind of hardware to you use? What future technologies are predicted for your career field? Are there any resources I can go to find additional technological information on your career field? Include any other questions you would like to ask. c. After the interview record the answers in your form and send it to Diane Stark at the above e-mail address. d. Please make sure to send a thank you note to your interviewee within a day or so of the interview. Make a copy of the thank you note and send it to Diane Stark. c. Using the information you obtained in your interview, write an essay on why you chose your topic and who you interviewed. Report on software, hardware and new technologies used in this career. d. The essay requirements include: An introductory and concluding paragraph At least one paragraph each on why you chose your career, who you interviewed, the software and hardware used in that career and future technologies in your career. Double-spaced Use 1”top, bottom, left and right margins. Minimum 1,000 words College-level grammar Cite any resources you use. Header with your full-name and topic. Footer with the CIS105 section you are enrolled in and my name, Diane Stark. III. Using your essay as a guideline, design a PowerPoint presentation that you would use if you were presenting your essay to the class. a. PowerPoint requirements A slide listing your name and career choice A slide outlining your presentation At least one slide explaining the software used in your chosen career.
