EP Reg section 138
The fee payable for an anniversary changeover application for an environmental authority must be worked
out using the following formula:
Fee for the anniversary changeover application F = 305.90 + (A x N) ÷ 365
where:
‘A’ is the amount of the annual fee for the environmental authority.
‘N’ is the number of days in the interim year.
The interim year for an environmental authority is the period starting on the old anniversary day and ending
on the new anniversary day in the following year after the proposed change.
Amalgamated corporate authority (multiple environmental authorities)
To calculate the anniversary changeover fee for an amalgamated corporate authority, the calculation will
need to include the sum of each project site’s pro-rata annual fee i.e. the formula would, in effect be:
F = 305.90 + [sum of ((A x N) ÷ 365) for each project site]
This can be obtained by inputting the relevant dates and annual fee for each project site and noting the
result for the row ‘pro-rata annual fee = (A x N) ÷ 365’. The fee payable is then $305.90 plus the pro-rata
annual fee for each project site.

Supplementary annual fee (section 134 of the EP Reg)
The supplementary annual fee is payable within 20 business days after an amendment application is approved.
The supplementary annual fee is not payable where the increase in annual fee is only due to a CPI increase.
Note: a refund is not due if the next annual fee is less than or equal to the previous annual fee (i.e. if the annual
fee decreases because of the amendment). The supplementary annual fee is only payable if there is an
increase in annual fee due to the amendment.

the day the notice to terminate the suspension is given to the administering authority and ending on the
