African American Biography Doll Project It’s February and we are celebrating famous African-Americans. Within the next four weeks, you will be responsible for completing an AfricanAmerican Biography Doll. In the video presentations shown in class, many historic African Americans were addressed relating to contributions to the civil rights movement and African American history. Choose a topic to research for further information. Topics are located on the other side of the page. Each student must chose of different topic. Please have a few topics in mind. We will select our final research topic in class. Your information must be presented in a creative way. You will receive one piece of tag board in which your project is to be completed upon. BE CREATIVE. This is NOT a research paper. You may state the information in a list. 1. The front of your Biography Doll is decorated to resemble your historic African American. (30 points) 2. The left inside cover has an actual picture of the selected person (10 points) 3. The inside right cover has a written or typed list of information collected from your research on your selected African American. The information must include (60 points): Birth date and death date (if the person is not alive) Brief description of your person’s early life Brief description of your person’s family life What the person is most known for How he/she has helped others What makes this person a role model for future generations. *You may use the back cover as additional space for your information.
