Times Herald (Port Huron, MI) January 15, 2004 Rosemary Demars McCalmon PORT HURON - Rosemary Demars McCalmon passed away January 13, 2004 after a long illness. She was a lifelong area resident. She was born to the late William and Edwilda Demars November 12, 1925. Rosemary graduated from St. Stephens High School in 1942. She worked for Yeager Bridge Company, Nicholas and David Salon, Bridgeview Group Home, and The Barr House. Rosie or "Roz" as she was affectionately known by her family and friends will be remembered for her devotion to her family. Rosemary is survived by her five children Lisa (Brian) Harris, Stephen (Julianne) McCalmon, Mitchell (Jennifer) McCalmon, Tina (Doug) Hendershot and Kyle McCalmon. She was blessed with six granddaughters: Rachel and Amanda Harris, Karlee Johnson, May McCalmon, Briann and Jennifer Hendershot, and three grandsons: Jordan (Laura) Harris, Connor McCalmon and Mitchell Hendershot. She was loved and cared for by her sisters and brother: Cecelia Carson, Barbara (Patrick) Lardner and William DeMars as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Wilburn and Gerald DeMars and her sister Genevieve Schaeffer. A special thanks to all of Rosie's medical caretakers, as well as the caring staff and friends at The Village at Mercy. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made in Rosemary's memory to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice. Cremation arrangements were by Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock St.
