GLOBAL INSTITUTES GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION OF MBA SUMMER TRAINING REPORT (Prescribed Format and Specification) While writing the training report, there are a few practices which should be followed: Cover page: The outer cover should contain title of the report. Paper Size & Quality: When the final draft is prepared, it should be printed on A-4 size paper and the page set-up should be Left margin – 1.5”, Top margin, Right and 76Bottom margin – 1” Font Size: While using the Font for the body text, it should be Times New Roman 12. Paragraph Space: The project body text should have sufficient space i.e., 1.5-line space for each and every paragraph must be provided. Headings: While using the headings & subheadings, appropriate distinction should be given. For example, if the main heading is in bold capital letters, the sub headings may be bold, italic and under scored or coded numerically. Use of tables: Tables should all be numbered, properly titled and placed before the Discussion/ interpretation. Diagrams: As regards graphs or diagrams, they should be neatly drawn either with Black Indian Ink or Computer printed (either black & white or colour). But the graphs or diagrams should fit in A-4 size paper. Each figure should be numbered and titled. Format for the Report 1. Report should not be less than 75 pages and maximum pages should not be more than 150 pages 2. 3. Report should be accompanied by the following: Title page Certificate (from the organization) Certificate (from the guide) Declaration Acknowledgement Table of contents List of tables List of figures List of appendixes Executive summary of the report (max: 2 pages) Report should include the following details: Chapter 1 Introduction a. Industry Profile b. Company Profile c. Background and inception of the company d. Nature and business carried e. Vision, Mission and quality policy f. Product/Services Profile g. Area of operation-Global/National/Regional h. Ownership Pattern i. Competitors Information j. Infrastructural Facilities k. Achievement/Award if any l. Future growth and prospectus. Chapter 2 Literature Review (5 to 8 slides) Chapter 3 Research Methodology consisting of Need of the study Objectives of the study Data source Statistical tools used Variables studied Limitations of the study Chapter 4 Data Analysis and Interpretation Chapter 5 Conclusion & Recommendations Conclusion Recommendations Learning Experience References Annexure References: References note for Periodicals / Journals, Books, Reports, Thesis is different in Presentation and complete details of the reference must be given in order.
