Konstantinos F. Bertsouklis

Mr. K. Bertsouklis graduated from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) in 1993; received
his MSc. from AUA with an expertise on propagation methods of native plants. He is a PhD
candidate, studying the Greek members of Arbutus spp. (propagation-micropropagation,
discrimination by morphometric and PCR-RAPDS methods). His experience on culture techniques,
methods of propagation-micropagation, introduction of new species for cultivation, is
substantiated by twenty publications in international journals, international and national
conferences. His expertise in this area has been commuted to undergraduate and postgraduate
students through technical support at the Floriculture Laboratory. He has been member of three
research programs and he is an ISHS member. He has also a long expertise in Urban Landscape
Management through his previous work experience for thirteen years at Department of Park and
Trees of Piraeus’ Municipality. Finally, he has an adult education certification.
