Merchandise Planning: The Peter England business model consists of 2 types of product ratio, A) Pre Production Order/PPO – a design based collection to be marketed at higher price points and targeted to a different segment; and B) Core product – which consists of the basic volume based business. Sales analysis/ Costing/ Profit and Margin: The AMP (annual marketing plan) or the projection for the year is based on a 3year old database and its derivatives. Here, in Peter England, we work with a certain Gross profit% (GP), which must be kept steady or increased at any given time which entails an overall review of each product type every season to ensure that relevant price sensitive measures are taken to keep the GP% consistent. 4. Inventory management: As product manager am responsible for all the fabric that I buy & FG that I create. work. I continuously monitor the inventory level & keep liquidate them within the timeframe that the co. work upon. This gets decided based on healthy & unhealthy inventory, market specific needs etc & calls taken with sales reg discounts. 5. New Product launch: With the Indian retail market becoming extremely competitive each season, End of Season Sales (EOSS) have become a crucial part of the business.
