The monthly meeting also included a follow-up presentation by the two artists selected by the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs to create a design for two retaining/sound walls to be rebuilt on Sepulveda Boulevard. They displayed a revised design based on community input. The majority of the evening was devoted to project staff describing the upcoming reconstruction of the Sunset Boulevard Bridge, particularly the period it will be closed, its capacity during reconstruction and detour routes for each stage of the nine-monthlong reconstruction. In response to audience questions, project staff elaborated on its outreach to local stakeholders and its coordination efforts with other local infrastructure projects.
