Purpose/Role
A brief description of the primary responsibilities for which the employee is accountable
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing, tracking and monitoring inventories for raw materials and
finished goods in support of Neovasc and customer projects.
Position Description
A listing of the deliverables to be accomplished, including specific duties/activities that make up the job
This position is responsible for:
1) Management of all raw material inventory including Tiara, general cleanroom, chemical supplies and
customer component inventory
2) Manage the stockroom/warehouse including internal transfer of materials based on status/disposition
3) Issuing materials to cleanroom and/or other users
4) Update Visual inventory system data elements to improve and generating reporting
5) Tracking inventory movement in Visual
6) Regular monitoring of expiry dating for inventory
7) Conduct regular inventory counts (e.g. quarterly)
8) Monitor finished goods inventory
9) Work closely with Production and Program Managers to ensure adequate inventory levels
10) Work closely with department to develop formal material requirement plans
11) Report customer component inventory to customers
12) Act as back-up for the Materials or Warehouse Coordinator, as needed
13) Take on assigned tasks, as required
Qualifications
Represents the desired qualifications but may not reflect the employee’s existing qualifications
Education:
 Post-secondary certification, diploma or degree in business, logistics, operations management or related
field
 APICS or SCMP certification/designations would be an asset
Experience:

2+ years of work experience in inventory management

1+ year work experience in an ISO 13485, GMP or similar regulated manufacturing environment
