*FACULTY SAMPLE AD* Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences Job Description The University of Montana invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Mathematics beginning August 2012. Position is responsible for teaching, research and service to support the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The teaching load will include courses ranging from introductory undergraduate courses (including freshman courses for elementary education majors) to graduate courses. The successful candidate is expected to advise students and direct dissertations in the mathematics education programs in the Department of Mathematical Sciences and also work with pre-service and in-service mathematics teachers. In addition, successful candidates will be expected to develop a strong research program in mathematics education. Current departmental interests are in Algebra, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Combinatorics & Optimization, Mathematics Education, Statistics, and Topolo.
