Description of Requirements:
The United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) intends to launch
tenders and to establish contracts for the following:
1)
Provision of Removal, Recycling, or Disposal of Hazardous Waste, and Recycling,
Treatment or Disposal of Contaminated Soil and Water from UNMIK’s locations in
Kosovo. The Services will be provided to UNMIK on an “as and when” required basis.
Estimated yearly requirement includes, but it is not limited to the following types/quantities of
hazardous waste:

Provision and management of a tax free UNMIK PX facility available to its
International staff stationed in Kosovo, at no cost to the organization. The selected Contractor
will provide a complete service consisting of the supply of various good/services as well as the
management of the facility. The approximate number of International Staff entitled to use
UNMIK PX is around 2000.
Both contracts will be for one (1) year period with an option for three (1+1+1) year extensions.
Companies interested to participate in the above tender(s) are requested to submit their EOI by
fax or by e-mail by the closing date 05 May 2011. The EOI must include the following

This Request for EOI does not constitute a solicitation. UNMIK reserves right to change or
cancel the requirement at any time during EOI, or solicitation process. Submission of a reply to
this EOI does not automatically guarantee that such a firm will be considered for receipt of the
solicitation when issued. Only vendors, deemed qualified upon completion of an objective
evaluation of their submission of EOI, will receive the final tender solicitation document.
